1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Parents are OK: Senior Safety app (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of the App
Parents are OK: Senior Safety is a focus-and-productivity app that helps you commit to a single goal at a time. Core features include:
- Setting a focus goal and locking in with a timed session
- Blocking distracting apps during focus sessions
- Tracking focus streaks and session history
- Daily reminder notifications
- A guided onboarding experience
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. User Accounts
The App does not require you to create an account. All data — including your name, goal, session history, and preferences — is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any server.
5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
5.1 Free and Premium Access
The App offers a limited number of free focus sessions. Once free sessions are used, continued access requires a premium subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
5.2 Subscription Plans
Premium access is available through the following options:
- Monthly subscription — billed monthly, auto-renews until cancelled
- Annual subscription — billed annually, auto-renews until cancelled
- Lifetime purchase — a one-time payment for permanent premium access
5.3 Billing
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase, as well as the applicable store’s terms.
5.4 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s App Store or Google Play Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain premium access until then.
5.5 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent the app-blocking functionality for purposes of resale or redistribution
- Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, graphics, and trademarks in the App are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Device Permissions
The App requires certain device permissions (such as Usage Stats Access, Overlay, Foreground Service, Notifications, and others) to function properly. These permissions are used solely to provide core app functionality as described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings, but doing so may limit the App’s functionality.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- The app-blocking feature will block all distractions in all circumstances
- Focus session data or streaks will be preserved indefinitely
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data stored locally on your device
- Inability to access premium features due to billing issues
- Any disruption caused by blocked apps during a focus session
- Device performance issues related to the app-blocking service
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Third-Party Services
The App interacts with third-party services including:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for purchases and subscriptions
- RevenueCat — for subscription management and billing
- Google Fonts — for typography (font file downloads only)
Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
12. Data and Privacy
All personal data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on external servers. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
